YESDAQ Data Visualization Software

YESDAQ software for MS-Windows NT supports the collection, database storage and web presentation of instrument data. YESDAQ is standards-based and uses open-source software components including mySQL and the Apache web server. YESDAQ fully automates the retrieval, processing, and display of data from one or more YES instruments via the Internet. While YESDAQ can be used to manage data from a local instrument site, it can also handle very large networks of instrument sites, supporting multiple:

• Total Sky Imagers (Model TSI-880)
• Rotating Shadowband Spectroradiometers
• MultiFilter Rotating Shadowband Radiometer
• Auxiliary instruments attached to a YESDAS-2 datalogger

YESDAS-2

The Yankee Environmental Systems Data Acquisition System (YESDAS-2) is specifically designed for large distributed networks of environmental monitoring instrumentation. It was originally developed to support networks of rotating shadowband instruments (and is part of SDR-1, MFR-7, and UVMFR-7 systems), but its 32 analog and 6 digital inputs can support a wide range of sensors. Certain channels are preconfigured for standard meteorological sensors such as temperature, humidity, and wind sensors.

The YESDAS datalogger includes data analysis software for the PC, Macintosh, or UNIX platform. The software implements unique algorithms to perform automated Langley analysis on direct-beam data to enable optical depth retrievals. A custom terminal emulator and data management tool, YESDAS Manager, provides a graphical interface to YESDAS, you simply click on the channels you want to configure your YESDAS data logger. YES continues to enhance the PC tools while the original instrument designers at SUNY maintain the Macintosh and UNIX tools.

YESDAS Manager Software

YESDAS Manager 2.5 is a comprehensive tool set for MS-Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP that fully automates the retrieval, processing, and display of data from one or more remote or local YESDAS data acquisition systems. It is designed to fill the needs of the meteorologist, climatologist, or scientist requiring high accuracy and reliability of monitored environmental parameters. Because it automates nearly all steps in the data collection and calibration process, it frees you to perform the important task of analysis and interpretation.

UV-Calc Software

This program uses a sophisticated UV transmission model to calculate UV levels at the earth’s surface for an arbitrary date and arbitrary location on the globe as a function of ozone column height and aerosol density. The UV-Calc software package is shipped with UVB-1 and UVA-1 systems, but may also be purchased separately.
