YESDAS-2
The Yankee Environmental Systems Data Acquisition System
(YESDAS-2) is
specifically designed for large distributed networks of
environmental monitoring instrumentation. It was originally
developed to support networks of rotating shadowband instruments
(and is part of SDR-1, MFR-7, and UVMFR-7 systems), but its 32
analog and 6 digital inputs can support a wide range of sensors.
Certain channels are preconfigured for standard meteorological
sensors such as temperature, humidity, and wind sensors.
The YESDAS datalogger includes data analysis software for the
PC, Macintosh, or UNIX platform. The software implements unique
algorithms to perform automated Langley analysis on direct-beam
data to enable optical depth retrievals. A custom terminal
emulator and data management tool, YESDAS Manager, provides a
graphical interface to YESDAS, you simply click on the channels
you want to configure your YESDAS data logger. YES continues to enhance the PC tools while the
original instrument designers at SUNY maintain the Macintosh and UNIX
tools.
